Women and their powers to create change.

Whew-
I am trying to keep up with all the fantastic networking that can be tapped into here in NW Arkansas.
Even though I am not actively working for a paycheck just yet, I have been so busy working my networking resources.
I have met so many wonderful people here. Women who are trying to support their families, women who are working to change laws, women who provide community resources to other women, women who run women's ministry groups, women who run support groups of all kinds for other women, women who provide shelter for women who have no where else to go, women who want to donate their talents to kids who need to be cleaned up, women who provide a safe place for orphans.
WOW- ALL WOMEN!!! The power of women to see a need, invest in the need, and make a change moves me to tears. It inspires me. I am drawn to them, and they provide energy for me to keep going with my own quest for change.
I am dedicated to Christ to use me as a woman with the power to create change to better this world. God you are Mighty!

Stepping Up

We're reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan in my women's bible study. Francis challenges the reader to really live fully in God's word. He challenges us to decipher what this means for each of us and to follow through on that. I have already committed my life to God and have asked he use my life for his will. I know my mission, now to step up to the plate and fulfill that mission. I pray for God to give me the endurance to see this thing through. To give me the courage to step up in this community and let my voice be heard despite the difference of opinions that are going to be made obvious.
I am an advocate for kiddos with Autism. I am an educator. I am a source of support for families with kids with Autism. I have made my skills known to people around me and now it is time for me to establish a clear way for people seeking to be educated about Autism a vehicle to do so. I will be establishing a non profit organization called NOAHH. This organization will be used to bring lectures and other means of teaching about Autism to NW Arkansas. I am at the beginning of this journey, I am excited, I am energized, I am also scared. But I do know God will make it possible for me to step up!

Staying on task.

I have a tendency to wander from thing to thing. Not completing this all the way or seeing that through all the way. The thing is I can actually stay on task! I just have to use this little trick called "positive reinforcement". The real trick is remembering to use the trick. Are you following me?
Well today I remembered to use the trick, stayed on task, completed my goal for this work session, and now its time for my reinforcement! Hmm can you guess what that might be?
Hint: may involve thievery from daughters trick or treat stash
